PR Newswire
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Sept. 2, 2026
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Genesis Innovation Group, Inc., a U.S.-based medical device development firm that partners with inventors, entrepreneurs, and early-stage companies to quickly move from ideation through commercialization, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Patrick Jamnik to Chief of Staff.
“Today is another special and important day in our company’s history. Adding Patrick to our team demonstrates our commitment to attracting exceptional talent and providing the highest standard of experience and expertise to our clients.” said Chance Leonard, Chief Executive Officer at Genesis Innovation Group, Inc.
“Patrick has a unique blend of talent, important character traits, and high-level business acumen. He is well-educated and very strategic and deliberate in his thought process. He is extremely focused, driven and holds himself accountable for the highest standards of excellence and company results. Most importantly, he is very personable, likable, and effectively communicates with a broad range of people and stakeholders.” added Mr. Leonard.
Mr. Jamnik will serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer, helping to set direction and drive the decisions and cross-functional work that matter most as Genesis scales its platform, subsidiaries, and client companies. He brings more than two decades of orthopedic and medtech leadership spanning market creation, go-to-market strategy, capital formation, operations, U.S. market entry for international companies, and building high-performing teams from zero.
“Genesis Innovation Group has set a new standard of execution excellence and pathway for Founders, and CEOs on how orthopedic innovation gets built and brought to patients. The model of having every required resource for success under one roof is unique. This team knows how to expedite project timelines and bring about specific, strategic outcomes at a faster pace.” said Mr. Jamnik.
Most recently, Mr. Jamnik served as President of Episurf Medical, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of the Swedish orthopedic implant manufacturer. Recruited as the organization’s first domestic hire, he shaped U.S. market-entry strategy, led business development, and served as a primary interface with the Board of Directors, potential investors, and the company’s highest-profile surgeon customers.
“The Chief of Staff role is about helping the team stay aligned on the few things that matter, quickly moving issues to decision, ensuring execution matches intent and producing meaningful results for all clients. I am honored to join Chance and the Genesis organization in that capacity and look forward to joining the team in its important work,” added Mr. Jamnik.
Genesis has enjoyed considerable success in its short tenure as a true innovation organization. Genesis has founded and/or supported a number of significant technologies broadly recognized in the marketplace, including among others:
Shoulder Innovations Inc. – one of the fastest growing orthopedic companies in the space today.
Capitan Orthopedics, Inc. – a new subsidiary company of GIG with a unique implant technology and simple, reproducible surgical procedure created to address irreparable rotator cuff tears.
ProVoyance – the first FDA-cleared AI-enabled MSK application for pre-surgical planning of joint replacement.
