Company to Demonstrate C-UAS Training Platform as Virtuix Expands Defense
Programs Across All Four Major U.S. Military Branches
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Virtuix Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: VTIX), a leading developer of AI-driven, full-body simulation systems, today announced that it will showcase its Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) Personnel Trainer, in collaboration with LeadTech, to top defense officials at the Maneuver Warfighter Conference at Fort Benning, Georgia, on September 15-17. The event provides a forum for U.S. Army and Joint leaders to examine current and future requirements of the maneuver force.
The C-UAS Personnel Trainer is an AI-enabled counter-drone simulation platform designed to prepare warfighters to detect and defeat hostile drones through realistic marksmanship training with full-body movement on Omni One. In addition to the U.S. Army, the system is being evaluated by the Training and Education Command (TECOM) of the United States Marine Corps at Quantico, Virginia.
Virtuix arrives at the Maneuver Conference with growing momentum across the defense industry, following recent announcements involving all four major branches of the U.S. Military. In May 2026, the Company was selected by the U.S. Air Force for Phase I funding through the AFWERX SBIR program to further develop its Virtual Terrain Walk platform. Virtuix also announced that the U.S. Marine Corps Training and Education Command (“TECOM”), through strategic partner KBR, assigned Virtuix as the lead integrator to develop an infantry fireteam trainer using four Omni One omni-directional treadmills.
Additional momentum includes Omni One deployments and programs with the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the Air National Guard, Yokota Air Base in Japan, and a cooperative research and development agreement with the U.S. Navy. Together, these initiatives extend Virtuix’s defense footprint across all four major branches of the U.S. military through funding awards, research agreements, and simulation development programs.
“Counter-UAS training is an increasingly important requirement for modern military forces,” said Jan Goetgeluk, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Virtuix. “Virtuix’s ability to bring full-body movement into realistic simulation environments creates a compelling training capability. We look forward to demonstrating the system to U.S. Army and Joint leaders at Fort Benning and advancing our defense programs already underway across the U.S. military.”
The C-UAS simulator, developed by LeadTech and integrating Omni One, recreates real-world military training ranges as highly accurate digital twins, allowing warfighters to maneuver and conduct weapons training in virtual environments that closely mirror the locations where they will later conduct live-fire exercises. Using Omni One, trainees are able to move naturally through these environments without the constraints of traditional virtual training systems.
Counter-UAS capabilities have become a critical priority for militaries seeking to protect personnel and critical infrastructure from evolving AI-powered and unmanned drones. As drones continue to advance in capability and affordability, military organizations are placing greater emphasis on immersive simulation that enables warfighters to train repeatedly in highly realistic operational environments before entering costly live-fire exercises.
